We are driven by our love for Florida and our love for Lakeland. We want our customers to always feel special and to know that when they shop with us they are supporting many small business owners and self employed artists and craftspeople.
In 2013 award winning Lakeland artist Mary Witte opened 1026 SoFlo to provide a venue for local artists to showcase and sell their work. Over several years the shop evolved to include a boutique, a custom clothier, a working studio, and a gift shop. In 2016 Mary's life changed direction and she sold the shop to Lakeland native Christine Boring. Christine and her husband Jon, a photographer, have been supporters of the arts community in Lakeland for many years and Christine takes great joy in providing a platform for up and coming artists. Mary Witte's influence continues to shape SoFlo and her artwork is featured in the gallery.
Today SoFlo is home to a gift shop featuring Florida and Lakeland themes, Denise Everett Aesthetic Aessentials, and the Shelly Coquina Boutique with unique and lovely clothing, shoes and accessories for women. It is always our goal to make your visit an enjoyable one. We make shopping fun!
